Windy Hills Farm Wedding

With fall shades of burgundy, orange and yellow, this Windy Hills Farm wedding was everything a bride could hope for!

A few years ago we met Melanie and her family, when we did a portrait session together.

It was a lot of fun getting to know everyone, and we laughed so much!

Fast forward a few years, and now we have the pleasure of photographing for Melanie and Andrew on their wedding day!

Since everyone lives in different areas (Virginia, Maryland, Texas), everyone traveled to Maryland for the destination wedding.

Windy Hills Farm is a privately owned location, and oh so beautiful!!!

Melanie and Andrew got married on the back porch, and they had such a special moment when he first saw her walking down the aisle.

They chose not to do a first look (Andrew really wanted that moment of seeing her for the first time at the wedding), and that just made everything more emotional.

It made my little nerd heart happy because at the reception, the favors were stemless wine glasses.

But not just any stemless wine glasses.

These were Game of Thrones inspired wine glasses!

Most of them say “Wine is Coming.”

However, a select few – about 10% – say “The Lannisters Send their Regards.”

Andrew and Melanie, thank you so much for including us in your special day!

Have an absolute blast on your honeymoon in Disney World! Eric is still super jealous that you’re headed to the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge park, and said to please pack him in your suitcase before you go ????
