I was born and raised here in Virginia Beach, so when a client asks for photos by the ocean – my answer is always hell yeah! It was a bit chilly for this Virginia Beach engagement session, but you would never know when you see the photos!

Jessica and Joe have been together for 5 years, and they have a beautiful love story.

Between the military, going to school in two different states; they are finally in the same place and ready to start their life together.

How you two meet?

We met at a Halloween party through mutual friends.

.

What did you do on your first date?

Joe made me dinner and then we went to the Ocean View Fishing Pier to watch the sunset.

(which made the location of our engagement session even more meaningful!)

What are some of your favorite things to do together?

Go to NHL Hockey Games and do sushi date nights.

.

When did you know he was the one?

Staying together after 2 years of long distance.

After that I knew I wanted to spend my life with Joe, and that we could get through anything.

Tell Us Your Proposal Story?

We went on a cruise in May and he proposed during the middle of the week.

Joe told me he wanted to do it before we left for the cruise but the weather didn’t cooperate.

Before proposing, Joe walked around for 3 nights with my ring in his sock, until he found the perfect moment.

If you had to pick a word for your relationship, what would it be?

Easy.

It has been easy to fall in love with each other.

When Joe asked me to marry him it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.

What are three dreams/goals for your marriage?

  1. Go to all the NHL hockey stadiums
  2. Travel to as many places as we can
  3. Have children

.

What are you looking forward to most on the wedding day?

I am looking forward most to seeing how he reacts to me walking down the aisle and following that would be our first kiss as husband and wife.
