When you think of doing a photoshoot in the rain, it definitely doesn’t inspire feelings of joy and excitement. In fact, I’m sure for most people, it would be quite the opposite! But when you see this rainy woods engagement shoot we did for Ashton and Jason, you might just change your mind!

And keep in mind that it wasn’t just “lightly sprinkling” during our session. Nope, it was pouring rain.

But Ashton and Jason were such troopers and we made it work. I am super happy with how these turned out… rain and all!

Rainy Woods Engagement Shoot

Jason and I meet at Eagles Nest country bar the night before Thanksgiving. He was the one who approached me, and we start talking about tattoos, life, and everything else under the sun that night.
I knew he was the one the moment I met him. Jason’s smile was contagious, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him!

When it comes to the proposal, Jason loves to play golf. So it was an easy decision to throw him a going away party at Top Golf before he went to Afghanistan. It was the first time our families met and he proposed in front of our families at the end of the night! It was the best surprise!

Jason and I both love good craft beer , so we like going to different local breweries and new restaurants. We also love to stay in and watch movies, or just hangout with our dog Hank. Currently we are getting ready for our son Emric, he is due in October and we can’t wait!

Jason would say a word that describes our relationship is unconventional. This is because of how quickly everything has happened for us. I like to say our word would be exciting because we always keep each other on our toes!
Three goals for us are to always remember to be best friends. To be amazing parents to our son Emric, and to own a house within the next few years.
