I’ve talked about it a lot here on the blog, the fact that time is fleeting and it’s SO important to make sure you are preserving your families memories. I know life gets crazy, and I know that the kids can drive you nuts, and I certainly know that getting family photos done can seem like just one more thing on the to-do list… but let me ask you this: do you remember how your baby smelled right after a bath? What about how proud you felt the first time your child rode a bike without training wheels? Or the way you anxiously await the kids when they get off the bus each day so you can hear about how their day went?
This little dude had the most amazing peepers, he’s gonna be a heartbreaker when he gets older!
These things are so fleeting, and all too easily forgotten. That’s why preserving your families memories is so important. Here are a few things you can do!
Preserving Your Families Memories
Create a Quotes Book
We all know that kids say the darndest things, that’s why I absolutely love this idea of a kids quote book from How Does She. The idea is that you make a book full of pictures of your child and include their quoteable quotes! Great idea for remembering those adorable things they say when they’re little!
Trace Your Hands
I love this idea from Little Bit Funky, and the idea here is that you trace your child’s hand on each birthday and put it in a frame behind the previous years hand so you can see how your child is growing each year!
Write it Down
I know that at the end of the day it’s exhausting to think about adding one more thing to your routine, but it can be so rewarding to journal one little thing each day! Just one exciting thing that happened during the course of the day or one funny thing your child said or did, it can make for some sweet memories later down the road.
