A stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet.

When you find yourself working in the field of photography, the first thing that becomes apparent is that it can be SUPER competitive! There are photographers charging much less than you, and photographers charging much more than you. Those that know “everything” and those that don’t quite know all the ins and outs yet.
It can be a very competitive business.
I am SO incredibly lucky to be connected with many, MANY amazing photographers here in Hampton Roads. I love that we interact online, are willing to learn from each other, and occasionally even organize events to get out and photograph together.
This was the case a few weeks ago, Stephanie (with Stephanie Judd Photography), Sarah (with Sarah Street Photography) and I decided to meet up at one of my favorite locations and just take some pictures for fun.
(what?! What is this fun that you speak of?!?!)
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Stephanie before, she’s been my second shooter at a number of events and I’m excited to be bringing her to more weddings!
Stephanie is such a beautiful person, both inside and out! I love that we can crack up together, but we also jive really well when it comes to our professional relationship. She is a lot of fun, and just as sarcastic as I am (bonus!).
Getting together for our fun session was the first time Sarah and I had met.
I told you before that I was connected with a bunch of fabulous ladies in the photography community, well that’s where I first saw her. We belong to a lot of the same forums and so we’ve been able to interact occasionally.
Sarah was a lot of fun because she was up for trying anything. I love her use of light, which is something I need to experiment with more!
I’m super excited I got to take pictures with these two awesome ladies, and can’t wait to do it again!
