Last night was so much fun! Anyone who knows our business, knows that we have a passion for educating photographers and bringing people together! And what better way to do that than to get a bunch of photographers in the park and take headshots of each other?! We had about 20 people come out to join us and I think it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all (if the last picture is any indication 😉 )
Photographers in the Park
It’s become a tradition that every summer Fresh Look Photography hosts a few free events geared towards bringing people together and promoting the idea of community. We very much want to see our industry raised up and believe that can’t happen when we (photographers) are constantly trying to tear each other down. So it is our goal to show people that there is enough business for everyone and we can always lend a helping hand!
We started the night with some informal teaching about how to work with a single subject, getting a genuine reaction and the dreaded question of “what do I do with my hands?!” After a quick Q&A session, we headed out to start taking photos of each other. I started by showing everyone how I would work with someone I was photographing and then walking around to the different groups to help them learn and make suggestions as to how they could tweak their images.
I am so incredibly excited that so many people were able to come out last night and look forward to seeing everyone again really soon!
You have to be able to make fun of yourself, so when I saw this image that Eric got it, I thought it was so fitting! I’m rarely serious and was joking with everyone that “this” was the face that most people captured when they took a picture of me at workshops 🙂

I’d love to have you check out THIS LINK which has all of the awesome pictures from our event last night! Feel free to view, share, and download your favorites 🙂
