When Melissa first contacted me about taking pictures for their wedding, it was only a few months before she and Erick were set to get married. We started talking and she was telling me about their family (those two and two twin boys), the plans they had for the big day (a patriotic 4th of July wedding), and the stresses of being a bride trying to get all the details planned out while her fiancée was in the military. Whew, I can so totally relate to that! There was some back and forth, but when she finally told us that we were the right ones for the job, I was over the moon!

One of the things I fell in love with was Melissa’s vision for the wedding day: she was doing everything herself (definitely a DIY queen!), and had so many special little touches to make the day come together for her and Erick’s theme. From the red white and blue color scheme, to the plethora of mini American flags, and all the woodsy details (hello tree bark stars!), it was truly a magical day and something that these two can look back on and say “that was amazing”.

The awesome thing about renting out the Seahorse at Sandbridge for their wedding, was that Melissa and Erick were able to do everything in one place: getting ready, ceremony, pictures, reception; and they had such a gorgeous place to do it at!!! Some of the best images are once where you just have a simple, natural background and people that truly love each other.

Melissa and Erick, thank you for sharing your family with us and for allowing Eric and I to come and be part of such a special time in your lives! We had a blast spending time with you guys at your wedding and can’t wait to see all the adventures life will take your little family on!!!
