Erin and Rick’s flirty woodsy engagement shoot is a little bit sweet and a little bit sassy, but a whole lot of fun! These two have been together for quite a while, but decided that it’s time to make it official and ensure they have their best friend at their side forever. Flirty Woodsy Engagement Shoot
How you two meet?
We met at Harbor Inn in Norfolk. I stopped in for a beer after my sister’s bridal shower cause my best friend, at the time, was bartending. Rick was there waiting on a phone call, he was supposed to be going on a date but she was taking forever to get ready so he had just stopped by to wait there. He was about to leave when I walked in. I sat 2 bar stools from him and the rest is our love story.
When did you know he was the one?
I knew he was the one when I couldn’t imagine anyone else laying beside me. And also he would always make movie references that I knew and I loved that!!
What was the proposal like?
The proposal was very sweet. We were going to dinner for mother’s day and he had my mom and his mom meet at our house before hand. He had decided that we just go ahead and do presents. He handed Olivia (our year old daughter) a smaller jewelry box but my chain for my mom necklace had recently broke so I thought it was that. I opened it up and indeed it was a necklace but I noticed the piece that the necklace sits on wasn’t flat so I lifted it up to make it fit better and below attached to the necklace was my ring. He got down on one knee and asked.
What are some of your favorite things to do together?
We enjoy playing pool, swimming, spending family time with all of the kids, and going to Cinema Cafe.
If you had to pick a word for your relationship, what would it be?
Bittersweet.
What are three dreams/goals for your marriage?
Buy a house, have it be a forever marriage, and to grow old with my best friend by my side.
