Man oh man, I love me some little shrimpies! One of the best things about photographing little kids is the fact that they don’t usually do what you want them to do.
What?! (you may ask yourself in disbelief) Did she really just say that?!
Yup! I sure did!
I say that it’s better to photograph little kids because they don’t do what you want them to do. Can this be frustrating if you’re trying to get a picture?
Sure.
But it makes it all the more rewarding when you finally DO capture that perfect picture for the family! Besides, when they are doing their own thing, it’s easier to get natural expressions out of them!
I was so excited when Katie asked me to take pictures for Lucy’s 1st birthday, she has the most amazing blue eyes! And big brother Frankie was such a ham bone, he had to get in the pictures and show off too 😀
This session started out at the park near my house because we were worried about it being too cold, and weren’t too sure how long the kids would be able to spend outside. The lake made a perfect backdrop for the pictures we took that day! The water was blue, the sun was warm, and the kids were super happy to be out in the beautiful weather!
When we moves to the studio, that’s when the real cuteness happened! Frankie and Lucy were so good during their session and gave me smile after smile.
Right before we left the park, Lucy fell and bumped her chin, but she was a real trooper and still managed to give me a few more shots before deciding that she was done with pictures for the day.
