This downtown family photoshoot for the Porters was so much fun!
Now – full disclosure – these guys are the neighbors who live across the street.
But I feel like that made for an even more awesome session!
We got to hang out, have fun, laugh, blow bubbles, and (per usual) shenanigans ensued!

Downtown Family Photoshoot
Brittany and her hubby Michael are (somewhat) recent transplants to the Virginia Beach area.
They moved here a little over 4 years ago, and moved onto our street about two years ago (right before the pandemic!).
They have two gorgeous daughters – Emma and Brooklyn – and these gals are awesome playmates for our daughter Mara.
Brittany and I have talked a few times about how we are so thankful that we had each other during the pandemic… otherwise it would have been even harder than it already was!
Porter family – we are so happy that y’all live across from us! Thank you for sharing your family with me and allowing me to capture a little bit of magic for y’all.
Cheers to many more adventures in the years to come!

This blog post captures the joy of a family photoshoot so well! It sounds like the session with the Porters was a lot of fun, and the photos must have turned out amazing. Being neighbors with your clients definitely adds a personal touch.
Speaking of capturing fun moments, did you find that there were any specific advantages (or challenges) to photographing friends and neighbors compared to working with families you haven’t met before?
To answer your question, I find that being able to quickly connect with clients makes the experience that much more amazing for everyone!
