It’s been a few weeks since I blogged about have a daily schedule for photographers (if you missed that post, feel free to check it out HERE).
I wanted to update you guys on what’s been happening behind the scenes.
I’d love to be able to sit here and tell you that I have fully implemented my daily schedule and am following it to the letter and I’ve seen a HUGE change in my business/productivity…
Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
The Breakdown
I’ll be the first to admit: trying to completely revamp my schedule in the middle of fall wedding season might not have been the smartest thing to do.
I’ve been shooting back to back wedding’s every weekend since the beginning of August and it’s been a bit challenging to start a new routine.
I’ve been so focused on keeping up with my workload and getting all my images edited and to my clients – there’s not much time for anything else.
Which is great!
But the reason I wanted to further structure my schedule is because I wanted to work smarter, not harder!

Daily Schedule for Photographers
All that being said, I’m committed to changing things!
I know that if I implement these changes – good things are gonna happen, and I’m in it to win it.
Soooo….
If we’re baring our souls, here’s what I try to do each week.
.
Now I’ll be the first to say that this is ideally what I should be doing each week.
This is NOT an all encompassing list, and is pretty specific to me and my photography business needs.
I’m sharing this to inspire you to make your own schedule (even if you don’t stick to it), so that you have something to strive for.
Like I said previously, I haven’t followed this schedule to the letter thus far.
However, it HAS been beneficial because it’s really made me a lot more consistent in what/when I blog.
It’s also really made me accountable because it’s forcing me to make sure I get all my gorgeous weddings blogged (which is something that’s been SORELY lacking).
.
The Results
While this may not be a perfect system YET, I think it’s definitely got me headed in the right direction.
Wherever you are in your entrepreneurial journey – I really encourage you to create a schedule and hold yourself accountable for things that need to be done.
