If you’ve ever moved from one place to another, you know it can be exciting, scary, overwhelming, nerve-racking… but even thought Kayla and Jimmie will always be country at heart, they knew that they wanted to be together, even if that meant moving away from all that was comfortable and familiar. Anyone who has dogs will tell you that they are just as much a part of the family as any two legged member. So Kayla wanted to be sure to include her two puppies in the photo shoot (they aren’t puppies, that’s just what I call all dogs 🙂 ). But since the focus would be on Kayla and Jimmie for most of the photos, they brought their friend Dana to wrangle the dogs and make sure they didn’t get into too much trouble while we were taking pictures. Below is Dana being a rockstar and juggling hats, sunglasses, keys, cell phones and dogs, all at the same time!
I love getting to know people and seeing how they interact and learning their stories and what made them fall in love with each other. It was funny because when Kayla and I were initially planning this photo shoot, she told me that Jimmie really liked to hunt, so we would have to schedule the shoot on a Sunday, because that was the only day he wouldn’t be out with his gun and the dogs. It cracked me up and gave me some insight into them and their relationship.
“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect. But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had. Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.”

Kayla and Jimmie, you two were so much fun to hang out with at our session, I can’t wait to watch as you continue your journey together and grow in love for each other!
