How Did You Meet?

I (Lauren) am not much of a hang out person – a little shy at times, and kind of a homebody. We actually met on a online dating site. We would spend hours chatting, and talking on the phone. I felt like I was in high school all over again! Our first date was at the bowling alley. We spent hours there talking and getting to know each other more, played a few games and had fun. After that everything just went great from that point.

When Did You Know He Was the One?

To be honest, it took a little while. I have 2 children of my own, and the way he is with them, the true love he shows me and my girls is just amazing! It takes a real man to care for kids as his own. At that point I knew he was a keeper.

What Was the Proposal Like?

Absolutely amazing, it happened when we went to an adult prom. Neither one of us attended our high school prom, so that made it even more special.He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of everyone! Turns out he had told my best friend’s and everyone knew but me. I was so surprised!

What Are Some Favorite Things to Do?

We both are foodies so we like to eat. This works out really well, especially since I just graduated with a culinary degree! We also enjoy watching movies, and our new favorite thing to do is to crack the code at escape rooms.

What Are Three Goals for Your Marriage?

  • Longevity – we are going to make this last forever.
  • Expanding our family – more to love.
  • Building our brand.
