Funny story – this Cavalier Hotel surprise proposal took place on March 20th.
This is the first day of Spring (yay!), but it’s also National Proposal Day!
I swear, I didn’t make that up!
That’s why it is doubly perfect that Sharod (with a little help from his sister) planned this epic day for his girlfriend Tiara at the Historic Cavalier Hotel!
To be fair – it might have been the first day of Spring, but it was a chilly one for sure!
So when Sharod suggested that they take a quick walk in the gardens outside the Cavalier, Tiara almost turned around and walked right back inside.
Luckily, he turned her around, and she quickly saw all their family and friends waiting in the Sunken Garden – and the reality of the proposal sunk in.
Get to know more about these two lovebirds in today’s blog.

Cavalier Hotel Surprise Proposal
Sharod and Tiara initially met at work
There was an attraction for sure, but after their first date (going out to see Disney’s live action Aladdin movie), they both knew it was going to be something special.
These two are big Disney fans, the it is so sweet that Sharod always calls Tiara his princess.
Side note – one of the special touches at the proposal was the “magic lamp” that Sharod got as the ring box to hold Tiara’s engagement ring!
Some of their favorite things are going to bakeries together, being able to pray and worship, museum outings, watching Disney movies and westerns, day trips, going to the beach, going shopping and going to dinner.
When they get married in November, both Sharod and Tiara agree that they are most looking forward to just enjoying the day!
Sharod also adds that he is looking forward to the moment where we become united as one under God.
