Casual Beach Engagement Shoot

When people look at the pictures from your engagement shoot, they should be able to get a sense of who you are as a couple, what you like, and a bit about your sense of style. When we finally met up with Liz and Corey for the first time, it was clear that this casual beach engagement shoot was perfect for them! All these two seemed to need was the sand, surf, and to stroll along the beach with each other… oh and to laugh. A lot! 🙂

We started getting to know these two lovelies early this year and they were both really excited to take pictures together before their wedding! But since Liz is on a ship in the Navy and has a pretty crazy deployment/underway schedule, and Corey is a full time athletic trainer at Christopher Newport University… schedules can be a little crazy! So after a bit of back and forth, and coordinating our three crazy schedules, we settled on the beach one cloudy afternoon.

Because of the ship that Liz is on in the Navy, they weren’t able to have the wedding that they wanted right away (since these two aren’t from Virginia Beach originally). So they decided to have a small, intimate ceremony on for a few close family and friends at the end of May and then will have their “big” wedding next year once Liz gets back from deployment (hooray!!!).

Liz and Corey, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your memories, you two are seriously a couple after our own heart and I love that we laughed so much together! I know this deployment is gonna go by super fast and can’t wait to celebrate with you two next year for “the big one” 🙂
