Buffs Garden Family Photoshoot

This Buffs Garden family photoshoot was a blast – and not just because the color scheme was pink-tastic!

For most of my career, if someone said that they wanted a beach photoshoot, we went to the Lynnhaven Fishing Pier.

That spot was amazing because it had a woodsy walkway leading out to the beach, then out on the sand there were dunes, a pier, sea grass… everything you could ever want!

However, a few years ago the fish house restaurant and pier were sold and developers have recently demo’d the property.

So I’ve been on the hunt for a new beach spot to take clients.

I remember a photog friend mentioning Buffs Garden (thanks Brandi!), and decided to recommend it to Debbie and her grandkids.

Between the little botanical garden area, blue pergola, and secluded beach – the location was a total hit!

Debbie initially contacted me to do a photoshoot for her grandkids while they were all going to be here in Virginia.

I had no idea that Debbie and her granddaughters would be wearing pink outfits – but can we just say heck yeah?!

Her grandson Tim was there as well, and he brought his girlfriend to get in on the fun.

We had a blast starting in the botanical garden area (complete with pergola and brick path), then headed to the water.

The girls wanted to play and splash in the water, I told them absolutely, but at the end of the session.

Debbie, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your sweet grand babies at this Buffs Garden family photoshoot.

I had the best time with y’all and am so happy with the gorgeous images we created.
