I’ve talked about it before, I absolutely LOVE doing one on one lessons with other photographers, especially when it gives me an excuse to head to Bakers Crust in Norfolk and order a Mimosa at 10 o’clock in the morning! Nestled in the heart of Ghent, this restaurant is amazing because it’s tucked away enough to be hidden but well known enough to be a local favorite. When Dreama (from Dreamalittle Photography) showed up, she was all smiles and told me that today was a good day because she even got to flat iron her hair (it really is the little things that mean so much when you have a baby!). We got together that cold (COLD!) January day because Dreama was interested in learning more about the Beloved technique and wanted to start implementing it into more of her photography sessions. I love this because the idea behind beloved is really that you are capturing the truest essence of the people you are photographing and getting real, genuine interactions between your subjects. This is something that I think can work great for couples as well as families and also individuals. After we finished indoors, we braved the frigid temperatures and sharp wind to go outside and get some pictures together. I have to say, miss Dreama was totally rockin it out for the camera!!! I was so happy that we were able to get together and look forward to the next time that I’m able to see you Dreama!
