We had the most gorgeous sunset at this winter beach elopement for Shannon and Nick.
Don’t take this as scientific proof, but I really feel like the sunsets in the colder months are so much more magical!
And speaking of magical – there was a special photobomber at this wedding!
A friend and fellow photographer was also on the beach that day doing Santa mini sessions near us.
The bride Shannon had to grab some photos with Jolly old Saint Nick before heading down the beach.
It definitely made for a joyful way to start their winter beach elopement that day!

Winter Beach Elopement
If you’ve ever wondered if there is a perfect time to tie the knot – don’t discount a winter beach elopement!
There are a lot of benefits to eloping in the off season.
Beaches (especially a locals spot like Chix beach) are going to be mostly empty.
This will make it feel more romantic because it will (most likely) be just us out on the sand enjoying the moment.
As I said before, I am no scientist – but sunsets are so much more intense in the colder months.
And yes – I understand that it is in fact, colder… but just look at the colors of the sunset from this session!
If you are interested in doing a beach photoshoot – don’t wait for warmer weather.
My vote is to do it right meow!
Just look at these two lovebirds and the magic that is going on in these pictures!
