It’s the spookiest time of the year – and a perfect excuse to host a Halloween bridal shower!

First let me say – this was so much fun to put together!

Everything you see in today’s post is the handiwork of my sister Stephanie and I.

The two of us spent a few months planning the perfect bridal shower, complete with costumed guests, spiked punch, and lots of Halloween accents.

Each of these pictures in today’s post were a labor of love – in so many ways.

Lydia’s Halloween Bridal Shower

Alright – let’s back up a bit: this was actually a bridal shower for my little sister Lydia.
We are very close, despite the fact that there is a 10 year age difference between us.
My husband and I affectionately refer to Lydia as our “4th child” since she lived in our home for a few years.
Last year, when Lydia announced that she was getting married, I knew that we wanted to do something amazing for her.
It was already in the works that she was planning a Halloween wedding (what a cool theme, right?!)
Stephanie and I put our heads together and thought it was only fitting to have her bridal shower be Halloween themed as well.
But – with a slight twist.
Instead of the usual all black/goth decor, we glammed it up a bit.
Using beautiful fall tones of purple (one of her wedding colors), gold, burgundy and green it really elevated the traditional Halloween palette.
Most of the decor was DIY – my sister Stephanie and I did all the creation and decor!
Although – if we’re being honest – this whole thing would have been a bust without Stephanie as the DIY queen taking the lead.
