I do an annual ring roundup at the beginning of each year (check out the 2015 roundup here), so it’s time to show off all the gorgeous bling bling from our clients in 2016! We’ve rounded up all the amazing rings from weddings, engagements and any special event where we get to break out the beautiful bling bling! Enjoy not only today’s recap of diamonds, but also a look back at some of our sweet clients!

Bling Bling We Got the Ring

I would say that one of the biggest challenges when it comes to photographing rings during our sessions is to create an image that is unique and beautiful. It can be very easy to get in a “ring rut” where you continuously shoot each ring the same way. However, while it makes the client happy (they only have photos of their ring), it can lead to a creative slump for us photographers.

So my goal during each photo session is to try and incorporate something unique to the couple/location, or visually interesting in order to create a more dynamic image. Sometimes I pass with flying colors (like the beachy engagement ring shot with the purple sea grass below), sometimes I just do okay. But either way, I am pushing myself creatively and will constantly be putting out new photographs.

I think we can call that a win!
