There are so many things to spend your money on when it comes to a wedding, that splurging on an engagement photo shoot might seem like a “waste”. I mean, you’re going to get a zillion amazing images on your wedding day, that should be enough… right? So the question becomes, do you NEED engagement photos?
I’m a little biased, but my answer is always going to be yes!

Engagement sessions are a great time for everyone to get comfortable with one another. I always strive to create a genuine relationship with my couples! I want to know how he proposed, what makes her special, when he’s using his real smile… I don’t just wanna show up on the day of the wedding and introduce myself. I want to be able to connect with you two lovebirds so that we can create some gorgeous images chock full of genuine emotion!

It’s a Test Run for the Wedding

The biggest difference between getting together with your photographer beforehand and simply waiting until the wedding day is that there is no pressure! When it comes to the big day, I want you and your fiancé to be completely comfortable interacting in front of the camera.
None of my clients are professional models… and that’s okay! These sessions allow you to shake any jitters you might have and focus on really helping you showcase your personality.

Builds Confidence and Trust

This is a chance for you as the couple to see how I work! How I direct you to pose (because I will be all in your personal space!), how I communicate, etc. This is a great time for you to see exactly how things will go so that on the wedding day, things can run a little smoother. Plus you’ll know what to expect when you receive your wedding photos (gorgeous images, duh!).

Create Memories

Wedding planning is super stressful. You might still be in the “it’s so much fun” stage, but trust me. Sooner or later you’ll be at the “just let it be over!” stage. Engagement sessions are an awesome way for you two to relax together and have FUN! (because it will be fun) There won’t be any of the pressure you normally feel on the wedding day and you won’t be running around like a chicken with your head cut off.
