Photography Humor | Shoot to Smile

Being in business as a professional photographer is awesome, most of the time. But there are times when it’s not quite as awesome (like keeping track of business mileage… uugh!), so it’s nice to be able to see some photography humor occasionally. Don’t get me wrong, most people will be able to enjoy these jokes, but only a photographer will truly be able to appreciate some of the subtleties. Because really, if I went around telling everyone that “I like to flash people”, I might get a few sideways glances (and possibly even the threat of an indecent exposure violation!). But photographers… we get it!

I’ve taken up photography because it is the only job where I can shoot people and cut their heads off without going to jail!

This quote is particularly funny to me because I’m such a big fan of color/pattern/texture in clothing for family photos. But I know that there are still so many people who want that traditional photo where everyone matches exactly, you’re all looking at the camera, fake smiles and all… if you want that type of photo, you’ll probably be better off going to a chain store, because I’m a big fan of FUN in my photography 😀 

I am SO guilty of doing then, especially when I’m using Mara for my little model!
